Obituary for Vivian I. Campbell
Vivian I. Campbell, age 93, of Oakland, went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 12, 2011 at Odd Fellow – Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Illinois. Vivian was born January 11, 1918 in Oakland, Illinois to Alva and Edna (Foltz) Wright. She married Thurman “Jug” Campbell on September 8, 1939 in Oakland, Illinois. She was a beautician for more than sixty years and enjoyed researching genealogy. She was a lifelong member of Oakland Christian Church and also a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. Vivian is survived by two sons, Larry (Bonnie) Campbell of The Villages, FL and Jim (Darlene) of Oakland, IL; a sister Margret Cash of Neoga, IL; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Shields Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Oakland Landmarks in care of the funeral home.
