Obituary for Viola Etta Greenlee
Viola Etta (Smith) Greenlee, age 93, of Chrisman, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. Mrs. Greenlee was born October 30, 1916 in Shiloh Township, Edgar Co, IL to Virgil L. and Zella Rose (Ketchum) Smith. She was a homemaker and also cleaned houses. She enjoyed going to ballgames and loved to crochet. She is survived by two sons, Dale Greenlee of Snellville, GA and Allen Greenlee of Danville, IL; two grandchildren, Scott Greenlee of Tilton, IL and Susan Mixon of Loganville, GA; two great grandchildren, Madison and Makenna Greenlee, one brother, Ernest Smith of Sidell, IL; and one sister, Virginia Stanton of Bakersfield, CA. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Earl Nickles and Harrison R. Greenlee. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hoult Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Meadows Christian Village Activity Fund in care of the funeral home.
