Susan Kay Thorne Inman Nichols, age 79, of Paris, IL, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, at her home. She was born February 9, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN to Kenneth Leroy and Martha (Nutter) Thorne.

Susan was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. Her artistic talent and creativity were very unique. She loved to make beautiful things out of any material she had. She owned a gift shop in Cottonwood, AZ, for many years where she would sell her creations.

Susan loved trivia and was always learning new and unique things. If at any time her girls had problems or concerns, Susan was there to help, no questions asked. She has a large and loving family and raised her four girls with much love and discipline. With her strength and independence, she was the perfect role model for her girls. She was always there for her girls and grandkids.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Lori (Mark) Dickison, Staci Metzler, Angela (Steve) Lankster, and Wendi Dickison (Mike Elmore, fiancé); her grandchildren: Logan Dickison, Ryan Dickison, Erica Metzler, Rachel Metzler, Lauren Metzler, Alyssa Labry, Megan Martin, Hanna Maynard, Justin Dickison and Adam Dickison; a brother, Steve (Jan) Thorne; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tammra Lynn.
