Mary Jane (Copsy) Latoz, age 92, of Ridge Farm, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Vermillion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born February 11, 1918 in Williamsport, IN to Wallace and Nancy (Moorehous) Copsy. She married Adam Latoz on December 31, 1935. She was a homemaker and operated the Latoz Hardware Store in Ridge Farm for 42 years. She also was a member of the Fireman’s Auxiliary for 39 years and the Moose Lodge. She loved to sew, enjoyed fishing and gardening, and was a great cook. She is survived by three sons, Jim (Johnnie) Latoz of Georgia, Jon (Carol) Latoz of Chrisman and Ron (Sharon) Latoz of Georgetown; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at noon at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Ridge Farm Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
