Obituary for Marty Jay Eastin
Marty Jay Eastin, age 52, of Oakland passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Marty was born on April 4, 1960 in Tuscola, Illinois to Marvin William and Nancy Ellen (Winkler) Eastin. He was a lifelong resident of Oakland and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. He loved pulling tractors, which he started doing at the age of 5. He is survived by two daughters: Jamie (Justin) Lancaster of Tolono, IL and Carrie (Anthony) Conner of Vicenza, Italy; one son, Adam Eastin of Oakland, IL; his parents: Marvin and Nancy Eastin of Oakland, IL; one brother, Shane (Bobbie) Eastin of Hindsboro, IL; five grandchildren: Kathryn and Joel Lancaster of Tolono, IL, Wyatt Eastin of Vicenza, Italy, Brooklyn and Gabriel Conner of Vicenza, Italy; one nephew, Duncan Eastin of Hindsboro, IL and one niece, Sydney Eastin of Hindsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held Monday. January 28, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Carle Foundation Hospital Oncology Department.
