Obituary for Logan William-Allen Casner
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, Logan William-Allen Casner, of Mattoon, IL, on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the age of 27.
Logan was born on February 22, 1994, in Fort Campbell, Ky. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. As a member of the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, Charley Company, Logan served two tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, achieved the rank of corporal, and made countless memories with his platoon members, who quickly became his best friends.
He loved his siblings more than anything and was happiest when he was spending time with them.
Logan enjoyed playing video games, journaling, philosophy, parkour, and spending time in nature - swimming, paddleboarding, water sliding, hiking, and riding four-wheelers.
His personality was larger than life, and his presence could light up a room. His laugh and smile were infectious, and he gave the best hugs. There wasn’t anything Logan wouldn’t do to help out anyone he came across who was in need.
He will be missed every day by his siblings: MacKenzie Casner, Puck Fritsche, BJ Boren, and Allyson Snyder, his parents: Stephen and Heather Casner of Cypress, IL, and Christine and Max Eric Snyder of Carbondale, IL. and grandparents: Fred Casner of Mattoon, IL, Vernon and JoAnn Roy of Neoga, IL, and Pam Fritsche of Ava, IL. Logan was also loved dearly by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins from around the Country.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Judy Casner, Larry Fritsche, and Max and Linda Snyder.
No public services are scheduled at this time. The family will be conducting their remembrances at a later time.
