April Mae Harp, age 31 of Hume, passed away Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. April was born August 24, 1980 in Danville, Illinois to Wallace Clyde and Cheryl Lynn (Coombes) Harp. She was a graduate of Shiloh High School, a member of the Hume Christian Church, and the Hume American Legion, where she made tray favors for veterans. She worked at Casey’s General Store in Chrisman, volunteered in the community and enjoyed shopping, reading and playing with her niece. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Harp of Hume, IL; two brothers, Ray (Cristin) Harp of Gaithersburg, MD and Kenny (Jennifer) Harp of Chrisman, IL; her grandparents, Kenneth and Polly Coombes of Union Grove, NC and Lois Harp of Chrisman, IL; and her niece, Sophie Harp. She is preceded in death by her father, Wallace Harp and her grandfather, Paul Harp. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for three hours prior to the service, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to The Dream Factory of Central Illinois in care of the funeral home.
