Obituary for Rosetta Eastin
Rosetta Eastin, age 92 of West Terre Haute, IN, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
Rosetta was born on October 9, 1923 in Westerville, IL to Jess and Flora (Martin) Skiff. She married Harold Eastin, and they were married for almost 50 years before he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son: Vernon Eastin of West Terre Haute, IN; a sister, Doris Thomas of Staunton, IL; two grandchildren: Nick (Amy) Eastin of West Terre Haute, IN and Clint Eastin of Clinton, IN; and two great-grandchildren: Alexis Eastin, of Clinton, IN and Quintinn Eastin of Oakland, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister.
Rosetta worked as a cashier at Kmart for over 30 years, and she helped her husband with the family farms. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting afghans. She was an easy going lady who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, and she loved spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Krabel Funeral Home, PO Box 1007, Oakland, IL 61943.
