Obituary for John Harlan See Jr.
John Harlan See Jr., age 44, of Paris, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital. He was born on December 30, 1969 to John Harlan See Sr. and Joan (Harwood) Wiseman in Paris, IL. By trade, John was a welder, heavy equipment operator, and a member of Boilermakers Union Local # 363, who built water towers and smoke stacks. He most recently enjoyed cleaning up the family farm, tearing down old buildings, mowing, taking down trees, and cleaning fence rows. He was a hard worker and a free spirit. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and raising cattle, goats, and various farm animals. He worked hard and played hard. He is survived by his siblings: Bill Nolen of Winter Haven, FL, Tom (Deb) Nolen of Chrisman, IL, Lori (John) Brengle of Metcalf, IL, and Mary Liebe of Chrisman; and step siblings: Harry (Carissa) Wiseman of Chrisman, IL, Deb (Don) Baker of Chrisman, IL, and Vickie Baugh of Chrisman, IL. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Carole Arbuckle of Paris. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hoult Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Edgar County Humane Association.
