Audrey Catherine Jennings, age 87, of Oakland, IL, passed away July 31, 2017 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Audrey was born on October 1, 1929 in Happy Valley, NY, to William and Doris (Mowers) Wallace. She married Edward Grant Jennings and he preceded her in death in 1960.
Audrey was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in New York. She enjoyed crochet, working in her flower garden and watching her fish and birds.
Audrey was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Gary (Diana) Jennings, of Brocton, IL; Bill Jennings of Charleston, IL; Randy (Karen) Jennings of Charleston, IL; Denise Watkins of Paris, IL; Marc (Katrina) Lindsey of Paris, IL; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating Audrey’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on August 2, 2017 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Oakland, IL. For those who wish, monetary memorials may be made to the Oakland Peace Meal program.
