Obituary for Ronnie "Bud" K. Covey
Ronnie (Bud) Keith Covey, age 56, of Metcalf, IL passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 4:22 p.m. at his home. Bud was born March 1, 1965 in Tuscola, IL, the son of the late Robert K. Covey and Linda Guinn Covey. He was a retired handyman who could fix almost anything. Ronnie enjoyed working on projects and truck with his son in the garage and doing what he could to fix what was broken. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and giving family and friends a hard time whenever possible. Survivors include his son and best friend: Cameron Covey of Metcalf, IL; two sisters: Sandy (Doug) Wheeler of Chrisman, IL and Jenia Kennedy of Paris, IL; three nieces: Erica (Rob) Beauvois of Catlin, IL; Randi (Denny) Tingley of Chrisman, IL; and Kaitlin (Levi) Porter of Chrisman, IL; two nephews: Bryxton Kennedy of Paris, IL; and Logan (Karlee Moore) Manchego of Chrisman, IL; four great-nieces and one great-nephew, as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diana Ingram. Per his wishes, Ronnie was cremated, and the family will hold private services at a later date.
