Obituary for Helen Heath
Helen Louise (Coe) Heath, age 96, of Chrisman, IL, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living.
Helen was born August 17, 1920 in Chrisman, IL to Russell Orchard and Hazel (Hughes) Coe. She married Lathan Buchanan Heath on August 20, 1938; he preceded her in death on January 26, 1986. She was a homemaker and a farm wife for many years. She also enjoyed planning weddings and formerly worked at the Villager. She was a member of the Chrisman United Methodist Church and was previously an active member of the Garland Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and Republican Women, where she served as County Chairman.
She is survived by two children: Martha Louise Morris of Richmond, KY and Lathan (Caroline) Heath of Chrisman, IL; eight grandchildren: Lisa (Dale) Jury, Gayla (Rich) Smith, Michael (Anna) Morris, Mason (Angi) Morris, Heather Watters, Kitty (Chad) Porter, Lathan Stewart Heath, and Jon Steven (Mandy) Heath; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Don Morris; a brother: Don Coe; and a sister: Margaret Land.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Chrisman United Methodist Church.
