Obituary for Linda Thompson
Linda Sue (Williams) Thompson, age 61 of Oakland, and formerly of Robinson, IL, died Monday, July 2, 2012 at home. Linda was born May 15, 1951 to Jessie Elsie Williams in Tuscola, IL. She married Chalon Leon Thompson on March 26, 2006; he survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Angela (Danny) Adkins) of Oakland, IL; a son, Tim (Tiffany) Bruton of Broadlands, IL; a brother, Robert Williams of Lewiston, IL; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother. Linda was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, playing cards, word search puzzles and country music. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to benefit the family in care of the funeral home.
