Obituary for Paul Eugene Jewell
Paul Eugene Jewell, age 70, moved on to greener pastures to join other family and friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his home in Chrisman. Paul was born July 20, 1942 in Tuscola, Illinois to Earl Eugene and Jesse Mae (Wells) Jewell. He married Marjorie Ann Nelson on August 14, 1987; she survives. He is also survived by four daughters: Faith Niermeyer of Clarence, IA, Laura (Mike) Fletcher of Indianola, IL, Polly (Mark) Edenburn of Georgetown, IL and Janice (Daren) Craig of Chrisman, IL; two sons: Brian Jewell of Phoenix City, AL and Randy (Susan) DeMoss of Brunswick, GA; his mother, Jesse Jewell of Pierson Station, IL; one brother: Rodney “Ronnie” (Judy) Jewell of Charleston, IL; four sisters: Ann Curry of Clinton, IN, Lois (Pete) Anderson of Clinton, IN, Linda (Wayne) Studey of Clinton, IN and Rose (Don) Sulter of Clinton, IN; a step-brother John Jewell of Texas; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Ricky DeMoss and a nephew, Troy Jewell. Paul was employed as a nurse, and enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds and horticulture. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Forest Glen Preserve in care of the funeral home.
