Obituary for Fernetta H. Gilbert
Fernetta H. Gilbert, age 88, of Chrisman, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born April 27, 1921 in Eldorado, Illinois to Roy E. and Katherine (Wright) Ham. She married Francis Allen Gilbert on February 21, 1942 in Chrisman, Illinois. She was employed as a legal secretary. She was a member of the Chrisman United Methodist Church and enjoyed baking, reading, crossword puzzles and writing poetry. Mrs. Gilbert is survived by two daughters, Mary K. (Chuck) Bradford of Paris and Donna (Bill) Moss of Paris; one brother, Bill Ham of Marion, IL; one sister, Mary Bean of Eldorado, IL; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant son. A memorial service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Chrisman United Methodist Church or the Pleasant Meadows Activity Fund in care of Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman.
