Obituary for William Herschel Hunt
William “Bill” Herschel Hunt, age 82, of Indianapolis, IN died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Bill was born October 31, 1932 in Indianapolis to Hershel Webster and Catherine Elizabeth (Butler) Hunt. He married Sandra Kite on June 16, 1979 in Johnson County, IN. He was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, where he worked for over fifty years as a brick mason. He was a member of the Calvin Prather Masonic Lodge #717, the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Directors Staff, Bricklayers Union, Indianapolis Southside H.O.G., and Indianapolis Chapter #1 H.O.G. Group. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, auto racing, and dearly loved his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra Kite Hunt of Indianapolis, IN; four children: H. Eugene Hunt (Becky Mohr), Jon (Catherine) Hunt of Fishers, IN, Duane (Dana) Hunt of Peyton, CO and James Hunt (Brandi Warner) of Oakland, IL; two sisters: Barbara Brazeale of Trafalgar, IN and Janice (Marv) Trietsch of Trafalgar, IN; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Miracle Ride Foundation for Riley Children’s Hospital.
