Obituary for Warren Jay Thomas

Warren Jay Thomas, age 63 of Chrisman, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home. Warren was born November 16, 1948 in Clinton, IN to Lewis and Margaret (Southard) Thomas. He married Pamala Marie Switzer on August 3, 1969 at Friends Chapel Church in Scottland, IL; she survives. He is also survived by two sons: Wesley Thomas of Greenwood, IN and Jody (Evie) Thomas of Chrisman, IL; one daughter, Pandora (Kevin) Hamilton of Mattoon, IL; seven grandchildren: Clay, Elora, Shay, Brittaney, Rendie, Rayme and Quincy and one great-grandchild, Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents. Warren was a lifelong farmer of the Chrisman area and was an advertising sales rep for the Chrisman Leader. He was a member of the Gideons International and the Chrisman Area Community Club. He enjoyed any sporting event with a ball and especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Friends Chapel Church in Scottland. Burial to follow in Friends Chapel cemetery. Per Warren’s request, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International in care of the funeral home.
