Obituary for Wanda Hibschman
Wanda C. Hibschman, age 95 of Oakland, IL, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Oaks Manor. She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper, and a graduate of Westfield High School and Utterbacks Business College. Mrs. Hibschman was born November 22, 1921 in Clark County, the daughter of Sylvan and Cloa (Marrs) Curtright. She married Max Hibschman on December 1, 1951; he preceded her in death on June 26, 2006. She is survived by a son, James Dee Hibschman of Arkansas; a daughter, Jane (John) Kite of Oakland, IL; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a very special granddaughter, Megan (Kite) Curry and great-granddaughter, Charleigh Grace Curry. These two girls meant the world to her. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Anne Ashmore. Mrs. Hibschman attended Richwoods Church in rural Kansas. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3 at noon at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Richwoods Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Richwoods Church or the Oaks Manor Activity Fund.
