Obituary for Wade Alan Key
Wade Alan Key, age 44, of West Terre Haute, IN and formerly of Ridge Farm, IL left this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Union Hospital in Clinton, IN. Wade was born on December 5, 1970 in Danville, IL to Sonny and Pat (Garrison) Key. He married the love of his life and best friend, Mishelle Lynn Christie on December 5, 1990 in Vigo County, IN. He was the maintenance manager at Horseshoe Lakes, where he worked very hard and took pride in keeping the campground in full swing. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. Wade was very fluent in sarcasm and was a man of great wit, never missing an opportunity to make someone smile. He greatly loved his pit bull Ace, who was more than a dog to him. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mishelle; three children: Tabetha Key of Tilton, IL, Wes Key of New Goshen, IN and Masey “Cooper” Key of West Terre Haute, IN; his parents: Sonny and Pat Key of Chrisman, IL; one sister: Angie (Doug) Mattingly of Chrisman, IL; two grandsons: Jackson Alan Phelps and Emmett Wade Key of New Goshen, IN; two nieces: Abbey Mattingly of Chrisman, IL and Erika Bright of Greencastle, IN; one nephew: Zayden Bright of Greencastle, IN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, one nephew, and one cousin. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. (CST) at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for three hours prior, starting at 3:00 p.m. (CST.) Cremation will follow. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Krabel Funeral Home in care of the family.
