Obituary for Trena Lynn Knauss
Trena Lynn (Crist) Knauss, age 46 of Oakland, IL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home.
Trena was born November 11, 1970 in Mattoon, IL to Konnie and Clara (Whitlow) Crist. She grew up in Newman, IL and attended school there until her senior year, when she moved to Tuscola and graduated from high school there in 1989. She attended Penn Station Cowboy Church in Arthur. Trena loved gardening and being outdoors, reading, and was an excellent cook. Her bright smile, contagious laugh and warm, fun loving personality will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her parents: Konnie and Clara Crist of Oakland, IL; five children: Austin Knauss of Villa Grove, IL, Kylie Bell of Tolono, IL, Shelton Cash of Oakland, IL, Hailey Crist of Oakland, IL, and Charlie Dennis of Bondville, IL; three brothers: Robert (Becky) Crist of Tuscola, IL, Tony (Kim) Crist of Newman, IL, and Rob (Shannon) Crist of Arcola, IL; a sister: Teri (Tim) Pollock of Tuscola, IL; and three grandchildren: Carter Knauss of Villa Grove, IL, and Waylon and McKenna Wilkerson of Tolono, IL. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Kyle Crist.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. following the service. For those who wish, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to Krabel Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
