Obituary for Timothy Harold Bodle
Timothy Harold Bodle, age 56, of Oakland, IL, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at his home.
Tim was born February 8, 1963 in Lafayette, IN to Ronald Charles and Aletha Mae (Anderson) Bodle. He married Laurie Lynn Wendel on May 31, 1986 and they spent 33 wonderful years together.
Tim worked as a parts specialist at Birkey’s Farm Store and was a member of the East Oakland Township Board. He was a former drummer with local band “Runnin’ On Empty”, a former Pee Wee basketball and little league baseball coach, volunteered with Tri-County JFL and was former statistician for Tri-County Football.
Tim was passionate about NASCAR, and enjoyed small engine repair and working with his hands. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandson.
Tim is survived by his wife; his parents; three children: Tyler (Hilary) Bodle of Hindsboro, IL; Tanner Bodle of Oakland, IL; and Chris Silva of Wheaton, IL; two sisters: Peni (Jamie) Satterfield of Lafayette, IN and Pam Rich (Mike Coffey) of Oakland, IL; and one grandson: Aiden Bodle of Hindsboro, IL; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Following visitation, Tim’s wishes were to be cremated.
For those who wish, memorials may be made to Tri-County JFL.
