Tom was born November 18, 1956, in Clinton, IN, to Earl William and Emily Joan (Harwood) Nolen. He married Debra Jo (Glick) Nolen on April 25, 1981, at the Chrisman First Baptist Church; she survives.
He is also survived by four children: Laura Watters of Rantoul, IL, Reed Nolen (Lisa Frailey) of Chrisman, IL, Lindsey (Cole) Grafton of Hume, IL, and Jodie Nolen (Kyle Taylor) of Oakwood, IL; eight grandchildren: Emily, Holden, and Zoey Watters, Gabriella Nolen, Elsie, Nolen and Louie Grafton, and Henley Taylor; six siblings: Bill (Monica) Nolen of Winter Haven, FL, Lori (John) Brengle of Metcalf, IL, Mary Liebe of Chrisman, IL, and Harry (Carissa) Wiseman of Chrisman, IL; Deb (Don) Baker of Chrisman, IL, and Vic Baugh (Jamie Rhoads) of Chrisman, IL; his mother-in-law: Shirley Glick of Chrisman; a brother-in-law, Joe (Marci) Glick II of Scottsdale, AZ; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was also expecting his ninth grandchild, baby Grafton, in June, and his first great-grandchild, baby Watters, in July.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill Nolen and Joan Wiseman; his stepfather: Phil Wiseman; his father-in-law: Joe Glick; and his brother: John See, Jr.
Tom was a farmer, and worked for Lewsader Farms, Rogers Farms, and Glick Farms.
Tom enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas and Florida, the music of George Strait, gambling on slot machines, playing the card game “golf”, his Ol’ ‘95 truck, and Coors Lite beer. He liked being outdoors, whether mowing, crop checking, or country cruising, and will be remembered for his Sunday Fun Days, which were for doing laundry and watching sports.
Tom was loved by his many friends, and will be particularly missed by his dear friends, Rusty and Becky Krabel.
His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family. He and Deb shared almost 41 years of marriage, and he never minded that she couldn’t be on time for anything. He was especially fond of loving on his grandbabies and pups.
