Obituary for Thomas Ayers
Thomas Grant Ayers, age 70 of Chrisman, IL passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Tom was born August 14, 1944 in Scottland, IL to Harvey Thomas and Leota Estella (Hudson) Ayers. He married Treva Joan Updegraff on December 1, 1963 at the Kidley Church in Chrisman. He was retired, and previously owned and operated T&T Sawmill. He was a lifelong resident of the Chrisman area, was a member of Kidley Community Church, and served on the Sugar Grove Cemetery board. Tom enjoyed woodworking, gardening, yard work, fishing, playing cards and pool, and cooking out. He was a member of the Wood-Mizer club of Indianapolis. He loved working outdoors, was never idle, and he dearly loved his family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
