Ruby Pearl (Boardman) Warren, age 89, of Charleston, surrounded by her family, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon. Mrs. Warren was born October 8, 1920 in Odon, Indiana to Homer and Tweedie Pearl (Lamb) Boardman. She married Claude Warren on September 25, 1949 in Charleston, Illinois and lived in Hindsboro most of her life. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed reading, sewing, baking, gardening and cooking. She was a member of the Hindsboro Christian Church, the Jolly Friendship Club, the Hindsboro Community Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 194, where she was a past president. She is survived by one son, Leland (Kathy) Warren of Humboldt, IL; one sister, Genevieve Wheeler of Oakland, IL; three grandchildren, Stephanie Woodley and her husband Eric, Elizabeth Warren and her fiancé Travis Hastings, and Michael Warren; and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Connor Woodley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
