Obituary for Rodney Eugene Buckler
Rodney Eugene Buckler, age 54, of Ashmore, IL, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Rodney was born October 15, 1961 in Mattoon, IL to Jack Keith and Evelyn Rose (Coartney) Buckler. He was a lifelong resident of Ashmore, graduated from Charleston High School in 1980, and worked for many years as a truck driver, primarily for Ashmore Grain. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping.

He is survived by two sons: Ryan (Crystal) Buckler of Kansas, IL and Darryn (Josie) Buckler of Ashmore, IL; six grandchildren: Braxton Buckler, Ayden Buckler, Haylee Buckler, Scottlynn Buckler, Brantley Buckler, and Hawkins Buckler; a sister: Patty (Bryan) Watson of Ashmore, IL; a nephew: Keith Watson; and a niece: Kristy (T.C.) Grissom. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held for three hours prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery. In honor of the simple and uncomplicated life that Rodney lived, guests are encouraged to wear casual attire. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals For Children.
