Roberta June (Pantier) Turner age 80, of Hindsboro, IL, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her home.
Roberta was born June 27, 1942, in Atterberry, IL to Robert David and Ruth Elizabeth (Todd) Pantier. She married Johnny James Turner on September 16, 1961, and they shared 61 years of marriage before his death in October of 2022. She was previously employed at Schrock/Masterbrand Cabinets in Arthur, IL.
Roberta loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and taking care of her husband. No one ever left her home hungry. She enjoyed crochet, camping, gardening, and canning. Her favorite flowers were her tulips and peonies.
She is survived by two children: Melissa Turner Cox of Hindsboro, IL, and Elizabeth (Rick) Turner Koshinski of Killeen, TX; six grandchildren: Richie (Amber) Weaver of Oakland, IL, Melonie (Cody) Koshinski of Charleston, IL, Kelly “Bubba” Koshinski of Killeen, TX, Heather (Ryan) Buller of Killeen, TX, Jamie (Dan) Brinkerhoff of Lakeland, FL, and Coy (Angie) Cox of Hindsboro, IL; eight great-grandchildren: Donavon, Jacob, Jayden, Jeremiah, Rylan, Dylan, Bode, and Luna; a brother: David (Freda) Pantier of Hammond, IL; a sister: Betty Haynes of Petersburg, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Jerry Pantier; a daughter: Nancy Turner; and a grandson: Samuel Todd Koshinski.
A memorial service for Roberta will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 11, 2023 at the Hindsboro Christian Church in Hindsboro, IL.
