Obituary for Robert Eugene Wyatt
Robert “Rod” Wyatt, age 87 of Chrisman, passed away at his home at 11:54 p.m. on July 24, 2010. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Chrisman with military rites. He was born August 26, 1922 in rural Chrisman to the late Fred and Hermine (Robison) Wyatt. He married Bonita (Richards) Wyatt on February 14, 1948 in Chrisman. He is survived by Bonita, one son, Jack (Judy) Wyatt, one grandson, Jacob and one granddaughter, Joanna, all of Chrisman; one cousin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rod was a WWII veteran, having served his country as a fighter pilot in the South Pacific and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He made many friends in the Chrisman community working as a rural mail carrier until retirement in 1976. He served a number of years on the Chrisman School Board and on the Woodland Cemetery Board. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chrisman. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Chrisman in care of the funeral home.
