Obituary for Ray L. Duzan
Ray L. Duzan, age 60, of Ashmore, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness at his home Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Ray was born December 22, 1951 to Marvin W. and Hazel M. (Swinford) Duzan. He married Rosemary L. Kanitz on November 28, 1970 in Charleston, IL; she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Misty (Duzan) Reinhart of Tuscola, IL; a son, Christopher Ray (Edie) Duzan of Brocton, IL; a brother Stan (Judy) Duzan of Hindsboro, IL; three sisters: Sue (Bob) Campbell of Oakland, IL, Linda Smith of Westfield, IL and Carol (Rick) Coffman of Oakland, IL; and five grandchildren: Christopher Daniel Duzan of Brocton, IL, Drew A. Reinhart, Jaeson D. Reinhart both of Tuscola, IL, Lela Duzan and Peyton Duzan both of Brocton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Ray was a lifelong resident of the Coles county area and a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of Oakland, IL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom and ginseng hunting, motorcycles, playing drums and especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Visitation will be held for three hours prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Duzan family. Krabel Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
