Obituary for Ramona Louise Kuykendall
Ramona Louise Kuykendall, age 65, of Charleston, IL, formerly of Oakland, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her home.
Ramona was born August 24, 1954 in Tuscola, IL to Edward “Shavie” Raymond Allen and Louise Margaret (Jones) Allen. She married Charles A. Kuykendall on December 27, 1975 in Paris, IL, and they enjoyed 36 wonderful years together before his passing in 2012.
Ramona was a member of East Harrison Street Church of God. She loved watching basketball and football and was a die-hard fan of the New England Patriots. She enjoyed mowing her yard and loved visiting with her friends and family.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by two children: Stephanie R. (Jason Duzan) Kuykendall of Oakland, IL; and Charla B. (William) Robinson of Charleston, IL; two brothers: Edward L. (Kathy) Allen of Land O’ Lakes, FL; and Rev. Ronald (Barbara) Allen of Hammond, LA; five grandchildren: Eleni (Kohl) Key of Brocton, IL; Seth (Miranda Cooley) Ethington of Terre Haute, IN; Kaeli Stewart of Charleston, IL; Katherine Robinson of Charleston, IL; and Charles Robinson of Charleston, IL; and one great-grandchild: Maya Key of Brocton, IL.
The family will hold a private memorial service, with a public celebration of life to be held at a later date.
For those who wish, memorials may be made to Krabel Funeral Home for the benefit of the family.
