Robert “Harold” Dillman, age 94, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Charleston Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Harold was born August 19, 1917 in Willow Hill, IL to Albert Lee and Sadie (Maxwell) Dillman. He married Martha Lee Hall on September 2, 1936 in Oakland, IL. He was a resident of Oakland until 1966 when he moved to Charleston and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and served as president of the Methodist Men’s Club several years ago. He was honored as the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center Volunteer of the Year, and enjoyed wood crafting, puzzles and fishing. He is survived by a daughter, Jane (Carlin) Ealy of Charleston, IL; three grandchildren: John (Amy) Ealy of Urbana, IL, Sean (Bethany) Ealy of Greenville, IL and Jim (Elizabeth) Ealy of Charleston, IL; and four great-grandchildren: Dylan and Lauren Ealy of Charleston, IL and Luke and Lydia Ealy of Greenville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother and two sisters. Visitation will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. A graveside funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Charleston First Church of God in care of the funeral home.
