Obituary for Phoebe Ann Morgan
Phoebe Ann (Mills) Morgan, age 75 of Oakland, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois. Ann was born November 6, 1936 in Sheridan, WY to Paul and Esther (Smith) Mills. She married Kenneth Morgan on January 19, 1963. Ann was the matriarch of her family, and her home was always the center for holidays and family gatherings. She was well known for her baking and candy making - especially for her peanut brittle during the holidays. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and aunt, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Pam (Scott) Ebbert of Charleston, IL; a brother, Frank (Barb) Mills of Sheridan, WY; two sisters, Mary Blackburn of Elgin, IL and Paula (Bill) McClain of Carlinville, IL; two grandchildren, Dane Goble of Carbondale, IL and Cassie Morgan of Kansas, IL; and a daughter-in-law, Connie Morgan of Kansas, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jack Morgan and Dan Morgan; and her parents. No public services are scheduled. A family service will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakland Landmarks in care of Krabel Funeral Home.
