Obituary for Phillip L. Hubbard
On August 20, 2017, God called Phillip Lawrence Hubbard home. A longtime resident of Ashmore, Phil was born in 1943, in San Bernardino, California, to Lawrence and Barbara Hubbard. He began his aviation career as a crop duster in the central valley of California before becoming a corporate pilot. He was an avid train and plane enthusiast with hobby interests that included a passion for restoring cars and trucks. Phil was a gifted wood worker who expressed his exquisite talent by creating furniture, cabinetry and toys. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Blackshire Hubbard; two daughters, Kristin Nelson of Washington, and Erin Muldoon of Australia and their children Eli, Isaac, Sylvie, Ellery, Jethro, Ivy and Phoenix; three stepsons, Kurt Crail of Ashmore and his children Anika and Blain, Brett Crail of California and his daughter Brittany, Rick Crail of Marshall and his daughter Alix. Phil is also survived by his sisters Dayl Hubbard Hufford of New Hampshire, Constance Hubbard Heitman of Massachusetts, and his brother, James Foster Hubbard of Arizona as well as three nieces, three nephews, two grand nephews and six grand nieces. Memorial gifts may be made the to Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his wife, Patricia.
