Paul Martin Vrablic, age 68 of Hume, IL, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Paris Community Hospital.
Paul was born December 19, 1947 in Johnson City, NY to Stephen Joseph and Erdene Anna (Benninger) Vrablic. He married Shirley Eads on August 8, 1968 at the Hume Christian Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Hume American Legion Post #369. Paul was retired from Danville Metal Stamping after forty years. He enjoyed working on and restoring automobiles and fixing up bicycles for kids in town. He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Vrablic; a son: Brad (Misty) Vrablic of Homer, IL; a daughter: Natasha Vrablic (Jason Tower) of Ivesdale, IL; three grandchildren: Avayah Parsley, Marissa Harlin, and Weston Rollings; two great-grandchildren: Bryson Williams and Olivia Harlin; four siblings: David (Patti) Vrablic of Albany, NY, Marilynn (Lee) Burger of Cocoa, FL, Lydia McDermott (Ed DuBina) of Bolingbrook, IL, and Daniel (Dianne) Vrablic of Sandy Hook, CT; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Maryanne Brubaker, and a brother: Michael Saresky Vrablic.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman, IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Young America Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Vrablic Education Fund.
