Obituary for Orville William Haworth
Orville William Haworth, age 90, of Chrisman went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2013 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. He was born on October 14, 1923 in Vermillion Grove, Illinois to Allen and Clara (Snyder) Haworth. Orville was a 1941 graduate of Ridge Farm High School. On July 27, 1948 he married Jenny Freese; she preceded him in death. On July 4, 1981 he married Faye (Craig) Bland, she survives. Orville is also survived by six children: Kevin Haworth of Fithian, IL, George (Sheila) Haworth of Ridge Farm, IL, Gene (Lila) Bland of Bloomington, IL, Paula (Keith) Bergfeld of Indianapolis, IN, Richard (Carol) Bland of Hudson, IL and Kenny (Penny) Bland of Bloomington, IL; eight grandchildren: Jenna Philpott, Urbana, IL; Morgan Haworth of Fithian, IL, Josh Bland of Normal, IL, Luke Bland of Chillicothe, IL, Brian Bergfeld of St. Louis, MO, Sara Parkinson of Indianapolis, IN, Claudia Bland of Hudson, IL and Craig Bland of Hudson, IL and three great grandchildren: Madeline Bland, Arianna Bland and Elijah Bland all of Normal, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant brothers. Orville was a resident of Chrisman for 32 years, coming from Vermillion Grove. He was a member of the Chrisman Christian Church, serving as a deacon, elder and trustee for many years, the Ridge Farm Masonic Lodge # 632 and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. Orville had earned his 32nd degree. He enjoyed gardening, telling stories, woodworking, being outdoors soaking up the sun and traveling. He dearly loved every moment with his family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Franklin Cemetery.
