Obituary for Nora May Innes
Nora May (Butcher) Innes, age 87, of Hindsboro, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Mattoon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Mattoon, Illinois. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Oakland, Illinois to Neda (Mapes) and Elbert Butcher. On June 25, 1948, she married Robert Dale Innes in Filson, Illinois. Nora enjoyed dancing, bowling and dearly loved taking care of and being with her family. Nora is survived by: one daughter, Pam (Larry) Biggs of Hindsboro, IL; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Innes of Hindsboro, IL; one brother, Jerald (Marjorie) Butcher of Bloomington, IN; one sister, Donna Oard of Elliottsville, IN; six grandchildren: Mike (Denise) Innes, Paula (Doug) Williams, Connie (Jeff) Hoel, Carol (Alan) Myers, Jason Biggs and Chris (Jeri) Biggs; seven great-grandchildren: Selena Mims, Kristyn Biggs, Brittany Hoel, Zach Hoel, Jack Hoel, Alex Hoel, and Malcolm Innes; one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one son, Tom Innes. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Van Voorhis Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Hindsboro Fire Department or Oakland Food Pantry.
