Obituary for Maxine Neese
O. Maxine (Sandiford) Neese, age 74 of Hindsboro, left this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Maxine was born August 7, 1937 in Tolono, IL to Joe M. and Letha Evelyn (Madlem) Sandiford. She married Charles Eugene “Pete” Neese on June 25, 1955 in Hindsboro, IL. She was a homemaker, and also worked in the office of Dr. Palacios in Oakland, was the bookkeeper for the Neese Garage and the co-owner of the 5N's Convenience Store in Hindsboro. Maxine enjoyed bowling, flowers, reading, and dearly loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a member of the Hindsboro United Methodist Church. Maxine is survived by a son: Darin (Laurie) Neese of Oakland, IL; two daughters: Debra Neal (Gene Hudson) of Hindsboro, IL and Lora Neese of Hindsboro, IL; three sisters: Lela Ayers of Charleston, IL, Geneva (Stan) Clapp of Tolono, IL and Carolyn (Don) Gose of Mattoon, IL; four grandchildren: Amy (Matt) Turner of Hindsboro, IL, Brandon Skinner of Oakland, IL, John (Jennifer) Neal of Hindsboro, IL and Kacey Neal (Clay Dennison) of Hindsboro, IL; and three great-grandchildren: Gabe Turner, Emily Turner and Linken Neal, all of Hindsboro, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers. Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Hindsboro United Methodist Church or the Hindsboro Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
