Obituary for Mary Lou Sutter
Mary Sutter, age 95, of Chrisman, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her home.
Mary was born December 12, 1926, in Paris, IL, to Claude and Olive Wilkins. She married Francis Sutter on December 27, 1952, in Bloomington, IL; he preceded her in death on February 21, 2005.
She is survived by three children: Dale Sutter of Ridge Farm, IL, Rita Sutter of Chrisman, IL, and Allen Sutter of Chrisman, IL; three grandchildren: Sara (Alan) Rouse of Henning, IL, Joe Sutter of Tilton, IL, and Meghan Sutter of Minneapolis, MN; three great-grandchildren: Zevin and Oren Rouse and Manda Sutter; two sisters: Martha Fancher and Elsie Utterback of Pontiac, IL; one nephew, three nieces; a special friend, Faye Haworth; and former daughter-in-law: Tanyia Sutter. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and an infant sister.
Mary was a member of the St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Georgetown, IL. She was a homemaker, and found joy in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved taking care of her family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Georgetown, IL. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The Rosary will be said at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Memorials in Mary’s honor may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
