Obituary for Martha Jane Gleason
Martha Jane (Tootsie) Gleason of West Salem, IL passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at Richland Hospital in Olney, IL
She was born January 4, 1945, in Breckinridge County, KY, the daughter of Mineous Moxley and Sylvania Wells Moxley. She married Bob Gleason on June 2, 1980 in Atwood IL. He survives. She is also survived by her four children, Jody (Debbie) Ferry of Roxana IL, Bobby Ferry of Hardinsburg KY, Bill (Laura) Ferry of Charleston IL, Becky (Leo) Silguero of Andover MN, her two step children Aaron (Amy) Gleason of Fruitland, ID and Angela (James) Mace of Twin Falls, ID, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Norman, Herman, Charlie, and two sisters: Polly and Maxine.
Martha had a green thumb. She enjoyed reading, yard sales, puzzles, traveling, talking on the phone and spending time with her pets, Albert and Shelby.
At Martha’s request, she will be cremated and there will be no memorial service. A family gathering to celebrate her life will take place on Friday, August 31, 2018 at her residence.
