Obituary for Marguerite R. Rowe

Marguerite R. Rowe, age 90 of Oakland, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 11, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon. Mrs. Rowe was born February 17, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Sylvan Bristol and Mable Elizabeth (Gough) Zimmerman. She married Raymond Leroy Rowe on February 8, 1946 in Charleston, Illinois. She was a homemaker, devoted wife of 65 years and a wonderful grandmother. She enjoyed reading, visiting with people and square dancing. She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband: Raymond Rowe of Oakland, IL; her son, Gil Rowe and his wife Linda of Martinsville, IL; two grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Visitation will be held at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Krabel Funeral Home on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Embarrass Cemetery.
