Margrett Maranda (Creviston) Hite, age 91, of Ashmore, IL, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, IL. Margrett was born July 27, 1920 in Hindsboro, IL to Harry and Carrie (Hubbard) Creviston. She married Dalice Everett Hite on July 26, 1941 in St. Charles, MO. She was a lifelong resident of the area, and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was previously employed in assembly at Zenith in Paris. She enjoyed reading, watching TV and dearly loved her grandchildren. Dalice and Margrett had two children, Freida Lucille (Hite) Hudson and Owen Russell Hite; both of whom preceded her in death. Dalice also preceded her in death, along with her parents, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a sister, Velma Rose of Seymour, IN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Van Voorhis Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to support ALS research and advocacy in care of the funeral home.
