Margaret Ann (Edman) Woodworth, age 90, of Charleston, IL, died Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Margaret was born July 16, 1935, in rural Oakland, IL, to William Carson and Lola Marie (Snyder) Edman. She married Albert Eugene Woodworth on August 7, 1953; he preceded her in death in 2025.
She is survived by six children: Pamela Samson (James) of Ogden, IL, Kathy Woodworth of Charleston, IL, Dennis Woodworth (Lydia) of Pass Christian, MS, Linda Shulaw (Daniel) of Lafayette, LA, Bradford Woodworth of Peoria, IL, and Laurel (Mark) Dennis of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Carson Edman, and a sister: Nevada Seaman.
Margaret was a member of the Baptist faith and was involved in many congregations over the years. She also taught Sunday School for over 20 years, cooked for many funerals and was on the hospitality committee at her churches. She enjoyed square dancing in her younger years and played in the Oakland High School Band. She continued her support of student musicians through the Newton Junior High and High School Band Boosters.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
