Obituary for Marcella Lee Harvey
Marcella Lee (Madden) Harvey, age 64 of Oakland, IL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Marcella was born February 4, 1952 in Hillsboro, IL to John Len and Marcella Lois (Waggoner) Madden. She married Gary Richard Harvey on April 9, 1983 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston, IL; he survives. She is also survived by two brothers: John (Jacky) Madden of Atwood, IL and Ron Madden of Westfield, IL; and two sisters: Dawn Lynn Reddick of Charleston, IL and Julia (Pat) Stuart of Moweaqua, IL. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews, who adored their “Aunt Mar.” Marcella also was a mom to many foster children that she opened her heart and home to for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Linda Couch. Marcella worked at Herff Jones in Arcola as a machine operator for over twenty years. She was a member of the Hindsboro United Methodist Church. She was a passionate fan and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers and loved NASCAR racing. She also enjoyed yard work and especially loved pigs, both collecting pig themed items and spoiling her pet pig. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to The Hindsboro Civic Center, the Douglas County Animal Shelter or the Coles County Animal Shelter.
