Obituary for Loren E. Loop
Loren Edward Loop, age 100 of Chrisman, IL passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at his home. Loren was born March 3, 1919 in Edgar County, IL to Frank William and Garnet Mae (Richardson) Loop. He married Mary Helen Huddleson on December 16, 1938, she preceded him in death. Loren was a lifelong resident of Edgar County, and a member of the Edgar County Farm Bureau, the Illinois Draft Horse Association, and the Illinois and American Angus Association. He enjoyed farming, working and showing his Belgian horses, working with his cattle, and mowing his yard. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one sister: Betty Joan Chainey. He is survived by two children: Linda Hartman of Chrisman, IL; and Larry (Dorothy) Loop of Macomb, IL; five grandchildren: Lorena Hardin of Chrisman, IL; Jody (Tracie) Loop of Good Hope, IL; Janet (Robert) McKeown of Springfield, IL; Kevin Loop of Springfield, IL; and Kent (Kim Bennett) Loop of Evanston, IL; eight great-grandchildren: Ashley Mobley, Lesley (Jason) Knight, Hayley Hardin, Jackson Loop, Samuel Loop, Natalie Loop, Madelyn McKeown, and Melanie McKeown; and four great-great-grandchildren: Victoria, Isabella, Reese, and Rylee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Chrisman FFA.
