Leona Belle (Lewis) Manley, age 94, of Toledo, IL, died Friday, October 7, 2022, at Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup, IL.
Leona was born June 13, 1928, in Hutton Township, Coles County, Illinois, to Otis O. and Mary (McNary) Lewis. She married Everett A. Manley on May 8, 1947. Leona was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to read and enjoyed crochet and flower gardening.
She is survived by a son: Larry (Peggy) Manley of Charleston, IL; a daughter: Judy (Mike) Fletcher of Toledo, IL; two grandsons: Kyle and Carson Manley, both of Charleston, IL; two granddaughters: Michelle Galbreath of Ashmore, IL and Leona Rose (Bill) Scott of Toledo, IL; four step-grandsons: James (Angie) Fletcher of Neoga, IL, Quentin (Candy) Fletcher of Mattoon, IL, Ben Fletcher of Casey, IL, and Nathan Fletcher (Kelsey Barger) of Mattoon, IL; four great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers: Oliver, Paul, and Billy Lewis; and four sisters: Helen Hildebrand, Edith Simmons, Marge Harris, and Pauline Brandenburg.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials in Leona’s honor may be made to Sarah Bush Lincoln Home Care.
