Leland Everett Shaffer, age 81, of Brocton, IL, died Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Leland was born on November 20, 1940, in Borton, IL, to Bruce and Edna (McGregor) Shaffer. He married Beverly Ann Wells on August 11, 1960, in Paris, IL; she survives.
He is also survived by five children: Larry (Connie) Shaffer of Borton, IL, Victor Shaffer of Brocton, IL, Earl Dean Shaffer of West Terre Haute, IN, Brad (Carol) Shaffer of Brocton, IL, and Jake Shaffer of Brocton, IL; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Leland was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed old cars and was especially proud of his old Ford truck.
A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Embarrass Cemetery.
