Obituary for Landon Everett Taylor
Landon “LT” Everett Taylor, age 54, of Charleston, IL made his final road trip to be home with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2013 leaving from Charleston Rehab and Health Center. Landon was born September 24, 1958 to Jesse Everett and Marion Allene (Dolson) Taylor in Charleston, IL. He was a member of Stephenson County Antique Engine Club and the Charleston Moose Lodge. LT enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching drag racing, Cardinals baseball, playing golf and pool. He also dearly loved visiting and taking road trips with his friends and family. Landon is survived by three sisters: Kay (Jerry) Klever of Freeport, IL, Deanne Vasiloff of Granite City, IL and Jill (Moe) Temple of Charleston, IL; one cousin, Leta Zane of Charleston, IL; one niece, Jessica Vasiloff (Matt Little) of Granite City, IL; one nephew, John (Amber) Vasiloff of Granite City, IL; two great nieces, Madison Vasiloff and Teagan Little of Granite City, IL; two very special friends: Eugene Winnett and Bill Schlosser of Charleston, IL; Joel Clapp of Oakland, IL who was like a son to Landon and his “little kitty, River.” He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Aunt Dot and one brother-in-law John Vasiloff. Friends and family will gather to celebrate LT’s life on April 14, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Charleston V.F.W. All who knew and loved him are encouraged to come. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Taylor family in care of Jill Temple.
