Kleon Wayne “Sean” Baker, age 79, of Oakland, IL, died Friday, October 27, 2023, surrounded by family at his home.
Kleon was born September 20, 1944, in Paris, IL, to Darrell Nelson and Anna Elnora (Nash) Baker. He married June M. (Sims) Husher on May 17, 1993; she survives.
He is also survived by three step-children: Delia Rice (Michael) of Fisher, IL, Elizabeth Camp (Jim) of Senoia, GA, and Eric Husher (Kelly) of Pendleton, IN; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild, Weston Lajoie.
Kleon was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He loved riding his Honda Goldwing, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a very versatile handyman.
No public services are scheduled at this time. For those who wish, memorials in Kleon’s honor may be made to St. Joseph Indian School or St. Jude’s.
