Kay A. (Taber) Johnson, age 81, of North Fort Myers, FL, and formerly of Farmington, IL, died May 29, 2023, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL.
Kay was born February 20, 1942, to James Eugene and Margaret (Hartley) Taber. She married Howard L. Johnson on June 26, 1960; he preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children: Kevin Johnson of Parrish, FL, Aana (Alex) Giftos of Glasford, IL, and Ketra (David) Divet of Cape Coral, FL; a brother: James (Linda) Taber of Oakland, IL; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Barbara Miller.
Kay was a member of the Diplomat Wesleyan Church and enjoyed sewing and playing the piano.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. A graveside funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery.
