Karen Darlene Nichols, age 79 of Ridge Farm, IL, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at OSF Sacre Heart Medical Center in Danville.
Karen was born July 24, 1941 in Vermilion County to Emerald and Mary (De Lattre) Bedinger. She married Jimmie Glen Nichols in 1961, he survives.
Karen was a member of the Chrisman American Legion Auxiliary Post #477. She organized the Thunder on the Ridge Tractor Pull, and held fundraising raffles for community events. Karen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Warren Bedinger.
She is survived by her husband, their three children: Robert Ray (Katina) Nichols of Ridge Farm, IL; Penny Sue Angel of Danville, IL; and Glen Allen (Shannon) Nichols of Broadlands, IL; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.
