Justin Matthew Harvey, age 44, of Charleston, Illinois, passed away on February 10, 2026.
Justin was born on April 28, 1981, in Mattoon, Illinois. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Oakland, Illinois. Justin felt most at home outdoors — whether he was working in the yard, riding four-wheelers, or hunting for morel mushrooms in the spring. He loved going to the races, feeding the squirrels, and spending time around horses. Justin worked for 15 years as an electrician at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital and was currently employed at MTSU as a custodial supervisor.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mack and Toots Harvey; Bill Cutright; Bonnie and Frank Bridges; and Aunt, Billijeanne Belobraydic.
He is survived by his parents, Roy Mack “Butch” Harvey, Jr. (Debbie Huddleston) of Charleston, Illinois, and Donna (Mike) Cyr of Ashmore, Illinois; Justin and Jessica spent 17 years raising their children, Colton Harvey of Mattoon, Illinois, and Makayla Davis of Charleston, Illinois; his brothers, Brad (Christine) Harvey of Stuttgart, AR, and Bobby (Amanda) Harvey of Charleston, Illinois; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, mother-in-law and sidekick, Brenda Shaw; two grand-cats, and one grand-dog.
A visitation is scheduled for March 6th from 5 pm – 7 pm at Home Church in Charleston, Illinois. For those who wish to honor Justin’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to Krabel Funeral Home to assist with expenses and support his children.
